Building the runway for women in aviation, one girl at a time.
We are a non-profit dedicated to empowering and advancing women within Kenya's aviation maintenance sector through education, mentorship and advocacy.
From a small idea to a growing movement.
AWAM Kenya was founded to address a recurring gap in Kenya: brilliant young women turning away from aviation maintenance and engineering simply because they couldn't see themselves in it.
We exist to change that. By bringing real professionals, real aircraft, and real opportunities into classrooms and communities across Kenya, we make an aviation career feel possible and supported.
Today we run mentorship matching, school programs, industry events, and partnerships that open doors at every stage of a young woman's journey.
Mission
Empower and advance women in aviation maintenance, STEM, and engineering through education, mentorship, and advocacy.
Vision
An aviation industry in Kenya and across Africa where women lead, build, and inspire at every level.
Values
Curiosity, courage, community, and credibility. We show up for one another and for the next generation.
